Hindringham Parish Council

Hindringham Parish Council has seven Parish Councillors who serve for a four year period, currently until May 2023.  See below for details of the 2023 Election.

The Parish Council meet on six occasions every year, every other month in January, March, May, July, September and November. Meetings are held in on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm, usually in Hindringham Village Hall.  Please see the Agendas to confirm meeting venue. The public are welcome to attend the meetings and have a chance to speak if they wish in the "public participation" item on the Agendas.

The Parish Council are consulted by the local planning authority (North Norfolk District Council) on any planning applications within the parish. They look after the grounds maintenance of the Playing Field, the Village Car Park, Coldham Corner and Moorgage triangles, the red telephone box, some village benches and the village clock on the Church. The Council works principal partners North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk County Council on various issues related to the village, managed on a district or county wide basis. The Council also liaise with the Police on matters connected with the village and co-ordinates Speedwatch..

The Council employ the services of a part time Parish Clerk who looks after the day to day affairs of the Parish Council such as the accounts, taking minutes at meetings and carrying out actions agreed by the Council.
