Notice Board

Notice to Members.

“Members of the Club may use the Club premises, and any other facilities of the Club, entirely at their own risk and impliedly accept:

(a) The Club will not accept any liability for any damage to or loss of property belonging to members.

(b) The Club will not accept any liability for personal injury arising out of the use of the Club premises, any other facilities of the Club either sustained by members or caused by the said members whether or not such damage or injury could have been attributed to or was occasioned by the neglect, default or negligence of any of them, the Officers, Committee, Trustees or Servants of the Club.”

RULES

Guests in the Club

Members shall enter the names of all guests in the Visitor's Book. Not more than three guests may be introduced in any one day and the same guest may not be introduced more than 3 times in any calendar year other than to attend club events.

Damage to Club property

A member shall not knowingly remove, injure, destroy or damage any property of the Club and shall make restitution for the same if called upon to do so by the Committee or by the Secretary upon the instructions of the Committee.

Exhibiting of notices

A member shall not cause any communication in whatever form to be exhibited on Club notice boards or premises without prior written permission of the Secretary.

Bar Opening Times

 The bar will be open at such other hours as may be decided by the Committee subject to any restrictions imposed from time to time by the Licensing Authority.  

Settlement of Accounts

A member shall settle any indebtedness for refreshment or otherwise before leaving the Club premises, or in accordance with any byelaw relating to the settlement of such indebtedness.

Suggestions

All suggestions shall be entered in the Suggestion Book and signed by the Member.

Bylaws

The Club may adopt such Bylaws or Regulations as it considers appropriate for the good management of the Club and its facilities.

 

Please make a habit of bringing at least 3 bowls when playing a Friendly game.  With last-minute dropouts the captains may need to change rinks to triples and if everyone is prepared for that change it saves a lot of phone calls to players.  

Dress Code

  • Casual Clothes can be worn for all competitions other than the Finals when Whites must be worn.
  • Casual Clothes can be worn for all Chummy Games.
  • Greys with club shirt to be worn for Kings Cup and Melton Triples Leagues.
  • Greys to be worn for all Friendly games unless stated otherwise with a club shirt (white shirt if you do not have a club shirt.)
  • If Playing at a time when there may be an infestation of rapeseed beetle, please wear a white jacket or top over your club shirt.

Club Friendly Games, Melton Triples and Kings Cup League Travelling Expenses (Away Games)

When travelling to a League Game £8 per car will be paid to all cars ORGANISED by the Captain of the Day.  Anyone electing to travel independently will not receive a payment. 

£2.50 (or cost of tea on the day) is paid by each player to the Skip of their rink which will then be given to the captain of the day at both home and away matches.

 

Meal Prices

A full tea £4.

Sandwich tea and cake £3.50.  

Tea & Biscuits £2.50.

League Games (Kings Cup and Melton Triples) will be £2.50 home and away.

Meal costs at social events may vary and will be displayed on the event notice.
