Parish Council Elections, 2nd May 2019
Medway Council are organising local elections, which include Parish Councils, for May 2019. All Formal Notices will be published here and also will be available on Medway Council's website. If you would like to stand as a candidate for the Parish Council, please contact the Clerk of the Council (see details at the bottom of this page) or Jane Ringham below.

Notice of election to be published - not later than Tuesday 26 March 2019
Start of purdah period - Tuesday 26 March 2019
Start date for delivery of nomination papers - between 9am and 6pm on Wednesday 27 March 2019
Last day for delivery of nomination papers - 4pm on Wednesday 3 April 2019
Last day for withdrawal of nomination - 4pm on Wednesday 3 April 2019
Publication of statements of persons nominated - 5pm on Wednesday 3 April 2019
Publication of any uncontested election results (parishes) - Wednesday 3 April 2019
Last day for applications to register to vote in the election - Friday 12 April 2019
Last day for new postal vote applications to vote or to change or cancel an existing postal vote - not later than 5pm on Monday 15 April 2019
Last day for new proxy vote applications - not later than 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2019
Last date for publication of notice of poll/list of polling stations - Wednesday 24 April 2019
Polling day - 7am to 10pm on Thursday 2 May 2019
It is anticipated that the following Notices will duly be published in due course:
Notices of local and parish elections: on 26 March (this is the date from which purdah starts).
Statement of persons nominated (for contested elections): on 3 April (maybe late evening as Medway Council also have to publish the local election notices).
Notices of uncontested elections: on 3 April (maybe late evening as Medway Council will give priority to contested election notices).
List of election agents (if any): on 3 April.
Notice of poll and situation of polling stations (if contested): on 24 April.
