Update on Visioning Event for the Horsmonden Neighbourhood Plan - 4 April 2018

A Visioning Event for the Horsmonden Neighbourhood Plan will be run by Feria Urbanism in the Horsmonden Village Hall from 7.30pm on Thursday 19 April.  This is a workshop evening with full participation by attendees, hence for practical purposes spaces at the event are limited and have been allocated in advance.  We apologise but we may not be able to accommodate anyone who has not told us in advance that they wish to attend.  Personal invitations to the event were sent to those who registered their interest in becoming involved in developing a Neighbourhood Plan at our first public meeting.  If you have not received an invitation in the Visioning Event but would like to participate, please email hnp.invites@gmail.com as soon as possible to register your interest.  If the event is full you may be placed on a waiting list but there will be plenty of opportunity to become involved in the development of a Neighbourhood Plan at further events, the first of which will be the Design Forum taking place on 23 and 24 May.  Please look out for further publicity of this event.

At their meeting on 6th November the Parish Council agreed  to the appointment of Feria Urbanism as consultants to aid the steering group in the preparation of the NH plan. The fee agreed to appoint Feria Urbanism was £11400 plus reasonable expenses and VAT to complete tasks 1-6 of the project which would provide an Interim Report for the parish.

Cllrs White and Jenkinson offered to put themselves forward to be the council’s appointed members of the NH steering group, with Cllr Jenkinson acting as the Council’s liaison officer in this project.

On January 26th the inception meeting took place with members of the steering group and Parish Council members, plus stake holders from the village meeting with Feria Urbanism to pave the way forward.

The Clerk has now received a grant of £6390 from Locality ( a community grants project) which will cover the majority of the consultancy  costs involved in the first few stages of the project.

The  next stage of the project will be for the group to hold a 'Visioning event' to which all stake  holders will be invited to share their views and ideas for the parish. Please look out for further details about this event.
