Ightfield Parish Council would like to provide residents with an update on the ongoing street lighting issue on Burleydam Road.

As advised previously, Scottish Power Networks attended the site on 2nd February and identified a fault within the system. A repair was carried out, and when their technician left site, all three lights were operational.

Since that visit, Light 3, located opposite Pemberton Close, is no longer illuminated. This has now been reported to our maintenance contractor, who will attend the site in the coming days to establish whether the issue is due to an equipment failure or a supply-related problem.

The Parish Council would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding while this matter has been investigated and progressed. We recognise how long these lights have been out of action and appreciate the community’s forbearance as we work through the final stages of resolution. Further updates will be shared as soon as they are available.
