Over the coming weeks, and starting imminently, Ivinghoe Parish Council will have contractors working on The Lawn in Ivinghoe.

The works is to replace all of the 'black' perimeter fence (not the green fence) as well as all the entrance gates.

This work is being completed as it has been highlighted in our safety reports as being unsafe and not secure (gates do not necessarily close).

Once completed all the existing pedestrian gates will be in the same place, but they will all be self-closing.

THE LAWN WILL BE OPEN AS USUAL during this period.

We do ask for your assistance during this period and ask visitors to please take note of any signs or instructions from our contractors.

At times, one or other of the pedestrian gates may be closed to the public and we ask that you please use an alternative entrance. Parking may also be restricted from time to time along the Station Road perimeter.

We also ask parents to be extra vigilant and ask that children do not play on or in the works area. Although our contractors will endeavor to ensure that the fencing stays secure during the works, there may be some small gaps that children might be able to get through.

We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.

In the meantime, please enjoy Ivinghoe Lawn.
