Welcome to the Ivinghoe Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan webpages.
This process gives the people who live in parish of Ivinghoe the opportunity to come together to help shape and guide the future style of development and land use in our parish over the next fifteen years.
Through the Localism Act 2011, we can now all have a say in how housing, the boundaries of our communities, the quality and scale of planning and design, business growth, the protection of green space and landscape, issues of transport and traffic, and the provision of local facilities are managed and contained. This is not just about the future but preserving and protecting what we value from the past, both in the built landscape and the green spaces within our communities and between and around our settlements.
These pages have been established to show you the progress at each stage as we create our Neighbourhood Development Plan, and hopefully engage you in the process. We aim to update them regularly and hope you will find them useful.
For those who want to know more about the process we will be post information about that and links for further reading.
We will also be posting more about some of the volunteers who are working closely with the Parish Council to produce the Plan.
If you would like to volunteer, we would welcome your help. We will have plenty of things to do from delivering leaflets or questionnaires to neighbours to working with others to research a particular local issue, for example, the type of housing we may need in the parish in the future, or the aspects of the natural environment that might need most protection.
By harnessing the wealth of talent within our community, we can produce a Neighbourhood Plan of which we can all be proud.
