About Our Club

Kibblesworth Bowling Green is situated in Kibbleswortth Welfare Park, conveniently accessible from Team Valley, Beamish Museum and the village of Ouston.

We are a friendly club where we maintain a friendly atmosphere and sense of sportsmanship; although we want to win our competitive matches, we also want to enjoy them!

Enjoyment often continues after games when we move to the bar.

We are very happy to welcome new players; for those unsure about committing to a full membership, we have regular 'roll ups' (the format depends on how many turn up, but teams are decided on by drawing names from a hat).

Our many experienced players are always willing to offer guidance/advice on how to play the game.

Despite our close proximity to the A1, Gateshead and Retail World, Kibblesworth is a rural village with our bowling green adjacent to the Bowes Valley Nature Reserve and Lamesley Pastures wildlife area.  Bowes Railway path runs alongside the bowling green, offering easy access to The Great North Forest.
