We held our A.G.M. on Sunday 27 November at the Lee Community Centre and as always, this was well attended. David Wallace, our President, gave thanks to various people who had helped out at the Club over the year and various members of the Committee presented their reports. Frank Whitaker, our Match Secretary, and Graham Olden, our Honorary Secretary, have both retired this year having done sterling work during their long years on the Committee. The new Committee was duly elected. Honorary Life Memberships were presented to Peter Whiffing, Marjorie Marshall, Joyce and Bob Bradlaugh. Peter Cook, our Green Manager, was presented with an "award" by the Green Team and it was suggested that the song, "Green, Green Grass of Home" should be dedicated to him! The names of two charities had been put forward to receive the proceeds of the Colin Ford Competition 2017; these were the Stubbington Ark and the Rainbow Centre. It was agreed by a show of hands that the proceeds would be split evenly between these two charities.
