Gift Aid

Lighthouse Furniture Introduces Gift Aid From April 2014

Gift aid on donated items

From April 2014 Lighthouse Furniture Project has introduced a Gift Aid scheme on donations made to us.  This means that HMR&C will refund 25% of the value of items donated by UK tax payers (less a small handling charge).

When you donate items to us you will be asked if we can to claim gift aid on the donated items. If you say yes we will take a few details from you and complete a claim form for you to sign.  This form will be sent with the collection driver if we are collecting your items and all you have to do is sign the form and leave the rest to us.

There are a few rules laid down by HMR&C which basically state that the person donating the items:-

  • Must be a UK tax payer
  • Must be the owner of the items at the time of donation

Lighthouse Furniture Project LTD Gift Aid

Gift aid on donations of cash

As you may know we are self sufficient and not for profit.  This means that we do not get any funding or grants.

But every now and then a generous individual or group makes a cash donation to help us further our aims.

We have had donations to help us provide winter warmer packs, food parcels at Christmas, to buy tools and ‘just a little thank you for helping a friend’.

If you would like to make a donation you can gift aid it as well which will increase its value by 25p in every £1 donated.

Please complete the gift aid form downloadable HERE
