Traffic calming measures welcomed

The completion of a traffic calming scheme to reduce vehicle speeds through Linton, near Maidstone, has been welcomed by the parish council.

Road Surface Improvement (Surface Dressing)

This is to let you know that, as part of the on-going maintenance and improvement of the highway network, Kent County Council will be working to improve the road surface of Linton Hill, Linton between the junctions of Stilebridge Lane, Marden and Redwall Lane. These road surface improvement works are programmed to start on the 15th July 2021 and should take 1 day to complete. These activities will be undertaken during a short working window between the hours of 9:30am to 3:30pm. During these essential works it will be necessary to control the traffic using two way temporary signals so that we can carry out the works safely for both the workforce and road users.

Stilebridge Lane, Linton

A closure is planned from 29th July 2021 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC008PTMS2080204801- Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Temporary Road Closure – Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh – 1st August 2021

Please note a closure is required on 1st August 2021 for 1 night to complete works

Following closure of Nominations, 4 were submitted, and the following were duly elected uncontested as Parish Councillors from 6th May 2021.

PLEASE NOTE THE MAY/JUNE MEETINGS HAVE THEREFORE BEEN CANCELLED

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, all face to face public meetings have been cancelled For the time being. The Parish Council will now meet in virtual terms using Zoom.

Members of the public are invited to join the virtual meeting which will take place on Monday 10th May 2021 at 7.30pm.

Information on how to join this meeting is available by contacting the Parish Clerk for the meeting ID, members of the public are able to join by video or telephone.

New Health Centre Coxheath

Construction has started on the brand new medical centre for existing and future patients in Coxheath and the surrounding area.The number of patients registered at Greensand has steadily grown over recent years and around 1,000 new houses are expected to be built within the practice boundary in the next 10 years.
