Myself and my husband, Ian, moved into the village 28 years ago. We have been lucky to raise our family (three sons) in such a friendly and supportive village, with excellent local amenities and schools. My Mum moved to the village to join us over 5 years ago.
I have been a teacher for over 30 years, in both North Tyneside and Northumberland schools. I am currently Headteacher of a rural, primary school in Northumberland.

Myself and my wife Ruth moved to the village in 2019 with our daughter, (now daughter, son and two dogs) to be closer to family. We were immediately struck with the sense of community within Longframlington and from day one always considered it a village we intended on settling and raising our family in for many years to come.
Outside of work I have a keen interest in sports, health, wellbeing and sustainability.

I’ve lived in Longframlington with Martin for over 11 years now and our 4 lads have grown up being part of this great village. We’ve since been joined by my parents, sadly Dad died last December. We’ve found this an upsetting year; the friendship and care we have experienced from so many has been a great support; thank you!
Our boys attend local schools, so education is a big part of my life, as is giving children a great place to grown up in. With Mum also being here I’m aware that this is as important for our less able and more mature members of our community, we all deserve somewhere great to live.
I’m also enjoying starting a business drawing and painting the wonderful landscapes and wildlife that we are so lucky to be surrounded by.

We have lived in the village since 2002 and seen it expand over the years. We were made warmly welcome when we first arrived and would like that sense of community to continue.
I work for the Civil Service in Health & Safety and enjoy fighting weeds on my village allotment, chainsawing safely in the woods & planting trees.
