Coronavirus

From Monday 17 May, when the Government roadmap step 3 measures come into effect, for most practical purposes the club should be able to operate as normal.  There will still be a few restrictions, mostly on social distancing and maximum size of gatherings, but their effect should be minor.  For details, please see the Step 3 guidance (pdf) from Bowls England.

Our fixtures programme for this season is somewhat reduced, as matches needed to be finalised with other clubs before it was known what restrictions would be in place and when, so caution was necessary.  But we still have a reasonably full programme to look forward to over the summer.

It's been a long time coming, but it's good to be back.  Lawn bowls is inherently a low risk sport, being outdoors and non-contact.  Let's get out there and enjoy it safely, before the variants rule and everything is shut down again.
