Ludford Parish Council pressed for a reduced speed limit and proper provision for pedestrian safety at Rock Green throughout the planning process. Unfortunately, there was a recent incident, with vans parked and overgrown hedgerow obstructing a young mother pushing a double buggy who was attempting to walk home from Sainsburys. The footpath In front of the cottages was blocked by parked builders vans and the opposite foot path by overgrown hedges. Shropshire Council have initiated hedge trimming via the Highways Engineer and the police were also informed of this matter regarding illegal parking.
Clearly there is still much to be done, however Ludford Parish Council will continue to champion the rights of pedestrians and cyclists in the Parish.
