On Friday 2 October, the semifinal matches of the Men's Championship were played

  • Roy Wilcox beat Neil Bateman
  • Alan Rice-Smith beat Malc Curtis

We look forward to the final and congratulations to Alan in his first year in the club in reaching the final, what will his handicap be next year?

Brian Reynolds has asked that the remaining matches in the second rounds of the competitions are played as soon as possible

  • Four matches in the Handicap
  • Two matches in the Senior Shield
  • Two matches in the Two Wood

Norwegians have an expression - "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing"

If it is raining, put on your hat and waterproofs, and play on. Postponing the matches will not make the sun appear. The green plays well in the wet so the advice is to play these matches as soon as possible.
