Open Day
As mentioned in the April Newsletter this will be taking place on Saturday May 28th from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Everyone is asked to make a contribution to the Open Day in some form please. This is an invaluable opportunity to recruit new members.

Tidying

The club has enjoyed some upgrades in several places over the last year or so but some basic weeding and tidying up of the beds and paved area would be useful.

Co-Op/Aldi/Waitrose

We would like to have at least two members at each of these venues from 9.30 to 12.30, to publicise the day.

Bar and Cakes

We intend to offer some basic refreshment so the bar needs to be staffed and some cakes made.

Having a Go

It will be important to have a rota of members available throughout the day to greet/encourage/demonstrate the game, to the people who attend.

Tombola Prizes

We will be joined on the day by representatives from the local charity Heals who will be running a Tombola. If you have any items that can be included as Tombola prizes please can you hand them in at the bar.

Short Mat and 2021 Competitions

Some members will be involved in these two activities which should help to add a further dimension to the day.

If you are able to offer any assistance then please contact any member of the Committee.

Parking

Unfortunately, there has been some damage to a car recently. Please help to reduce the possibility of this happening by parking within the designated bays and helping to guide visitors on their arrival.

Guests

If you bring a guest to the club then they will need to be signed in, please use the blue book that is located on the bar. This helps with insurance issues.

Fixture Booklets
Copies of the 2022 booklet are available behind the bar if you have not yet collected one.

Shirts

If you require a club shirt then these will be available behind the bar, more will be ordered to replace those sold.

Cotswold League

Both teams have made a winning start to the season. If you would like to follow their progress then there is a new website:
http://www.southcotswoldbowls.co.uk

Triples Gala

This will take place on Saturday July 23rd. Further details to follow.
