Welcome to the Official Web Site of the Mannings Heath & District

Horticultural Society.

Based in the rural Parish of Nuthurst in West Sussex the Society was founded in 1930 and holds Talks, Events, and two Open Shows throughout the year.

Membership is drawn mainly from the Parish but we welcome many members from further afield to our events that are held in the Mannings Heath Village Hall in Goldings Lane Mannings Heath.

With our two Annual Shows we work hard towards creating  a friendly, welcoming environment that caters for both the horticultural enthusiast and the average week-end gardener  to share in the joy of exhibiting their produce with others. Alongside the horticultural exhibits we offer the opportunity for exhibitors to show off many other skills - Cookery, Floral Art, Handicrafts, Children's  section and an increasingly popular Photographic competition.

All our shows are open to everyone, be they members of our Society or not.

We are pleased to welcome many first -time exhibitors to enter our Shows, where they are  given help, support and encouragement, to ensure an enjoyable experience. You can be proud to enter any of our Shows, as you can be assured that your exhibits shall be displayed at their best.

Our Society also offers TALKS from outside speakers on many varied topics, not always connected to Horticulture !

We also try make a couple of VISITS each year to local venues including local commercial Nurseries and Private Gardens.

Please see our "Dates for your Diary" page for full details of what we are up to in 2018, and we look forward to welcoming you to one of our events soon.
