Market Bosworth Bowling Club

Over 50 members and guests attended the seasons’ opening social event which this year was a Race Night. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening with the usual winners and losers but Rainbows charity was the undoubted winner which benefitted from part of the money raised, which was a brilliant £500 plus.

The following day was the official opening of the green and although cold the weather kept dry and a good turnout saw the new President, Pam Rogers bowl the first bowl, followed by a fun game just to get the ‘bowling muscles’ going again.

Friendly matches are well underway with league games just starting at the beginning of May.

The green is looking very good and as the temperature improves the new seed will germinate to enhance the look and playing surface

If you are out for a walk on Monday or Thursday evenings and are passing the green on Rectory Lane please stop to watch the league games and even call in for a drink at the bar.
