Today (Friday 9th Oct) we took delivery of a brand new Sisis MK5 Rotorake which is not only used for verticutting (a posh name for scarifying) but also took delivery of a brush reel, which as the name implies picks up all the debris of tree seeds and acorns but also puts a beautiful stripe on the green. The Sarel roller reel consists of a 10inch drum with hundreds of spikes and can be used as often as we wish, to aerate the top surface, allowing nutients, air etc. into the surface whilst allowing moisture to escape. I can vouch these spikes are extremely sharp!

We had a visit from the Market Bosworth Borough Councillor Martin Cartwright to witness the handover and we gave massive thanks to the Council for their generous grant towards the purchase. We also had a visit from the Parish Councillor at the previous demonstartion day and we thank them for their generous grant as well.

Many thanks to all the members who have taken part in the 'Lottery Bonus Ball' swindle and of course Jeanette for running it.

We look forward to many happy hours perfecting our special green
