Welcome to Marsham Parish Council

Email: marsham_pc@outlook.com

Marsham is situated 10 miles North of Norwich off the A140, and 2 miles south of Aylsham.

The Parish Council

Ever wondered what your Parish Council is here to do?  The Parish Council is made up of 7 members who all live in Marsham and represent the village on various matters.  We are effectively the third tier of local government, the other two being Norfolk County Council and Broadland District Council.

We meet at 7:00 pm usually on the Second Monday of the month at the Village Hall, High Street, Marsham - due to Covid-19 this was disrupted with meetings being held at the Church, since this time they have continued to be held at the Church.

The public are very welcome to attend and we encourage people to speak during the open forum which is part of each formal meeting.

The agenda for the coming meeting can be found on our website or on the notice board outside the village hall.

One of the things that some volunteers who are also part of the Parish Council do, is gather data on speeding in the village. You can find out more in the SAM 2 unit section of the website here

AYLSHAM HEALTHY TOWN INITIATIVE

Aylsham Town Council’s new initiative is designed to help residents of the town and surrounding villages to more easily access the services and support they need to live long, healthy lives. This initiative is being supported by the local GP surgeries, district council, local charities and businesses involved in the provision of healthcare and allied services.

Starting with a FREE event and associated web page, the Healthy Town Initiative is a way to access information in one place, and to be able to meet the people who are delivering these services locally.

On April 18th between 2 and 6pm, more than 15 health and wellbeing organisations will be gathered at the Town Hall, available for anyone to drop in and discuss what help they can provide.

There will also be a FREE CAFÉ so residents can  just pop in for a cuppa and have a look at the information on offer, or have a chat with one of the Town Councillors or volunteers helping to run the event.

NO NEED TO BOOK – JUST TURN UP AND CHAT!
