The Community Awards will be presented on Sunday 3rd July.
If you have received an invitation for this event please let us know as soon as possible whether you will be attending.
Unfortunately it has not been possible to invite everyone who was nominated for an award.
The date for nominations has now closed.

There are 4 categories of Community Award now open for nominations:

- Young Person Award (up to and including the age of 17)
- Community Group Award
- Citizen’s Award (18 and over)
- Business in the Community Award
If you know an individual or a group that you feel have made a positive contribution to community life in Melling, for example some who volunteers their time to improve the area or simply goes that extra mile to help their neighbours, then why not nominate them for one of this year’s Melling Community Awards?
You can obtain a nomination form:
• By visiting our website at www.mellingparishcouncil.uk and printing off a copy;
• By requesting a copy from the Parish Clerk by email to: clerk@mellingparishcouncil.uk or by text message to 07421 354877.
You can submit a nomination by:
• Posting a completed form in the Community Award Nomination box located in McColls;
• Completing the online nomination form that can be found on our website at www.mellingparishcouncil.uk;
• Emailing a scan or photograph of a completed form to clerk@mellingparishcouncil.uk;
• Texting a photograph of a completed form to 07421 354877;
• Posting a completed form to Melling Parish Council, c/o Maghull Town Hall, Hall Lane, L31 7BB;
• You can also submit a nomination without a form by putting your nomination in an email to clerk@mellingparishcouncil.uk.
Your nomination must contain:
• The name of individual or group that you are nominating
• The category of award you are nominating them for
• The reason you are nominating them
• Your own name and contact details
Nominations close at 12 noon on Friday 13th May 2022.
Please note – You cannot self-nominate and you can only submit one nomination for each category of award
