Rink Booking

Club Shirts are required when representing the club in competitive and friendly
games
Rink Bookings:
Rinks may be booked for competitions from 8am twelve days ahead (i.e. a Friday
game may be booked on the Monday 12 days before). Bookings should be made
in the book at the clubhouse. Sheets are printed showing direction of play and
colours of rink markings as well as each week of the season ready for members’
bookings.
Priorities are National, County, Borough and Domestic (club), in that order.
Club matches always take precedence. Please don’t arrange a competition game
without checking rink availability. Roll-ups cannot be booked. All bookings should
show start time, name of person making the booking and show (N),(C ),(B) or (D)
to make other members aware of precedence above.
Monday and Friday evenings:
Three rinks are reserved for club nights and cannot be used for domestic
competitions. These commence 18:00 in May, June, July, August and September.
Wednesday afternoons:
Three rinks are reserved for ladies club afternoons. Please attend by 13:45 for a
prompt 14:00 start.
Play is not permitted before noon without permission of the Green Manager
Casual dress: (mufti) may be worn on Thursday evenings, weekdays until 13:45
and weekends when no match is scheduled. Jeans, tracksuits, sleeveless or
collarless shirts and non-tailored shorts are not allowed. Regulation bowling
shoes are required at all times.
Damage to the green: All members are responsible for safeguarding the green
against damage. Protective mats must be used if necessary, and members must
insist on their use if they see others damaging the green.
Members Contribution: It is important that all club members assist where
possible in the running of the club. It is acknowledged that some members are

already involved in various tasks but for those who are not, it is essential they
participate where they can to help with the general upkeep of the club.
