Milford on Sea Mutual Aid is a local group that was set up at the beginning of lockdown to connect volunteers with vulnerable people in the community who were self isolating. Although restrictions are easing, our volunteers are available to help people in our community, so if you or someone you now needs support, please get in touch!
Our volunteers are happy to help by collecting shopping and prescriptions, or telephoning for a cheerful chat. If you can’t get a supermarket slot, or don’t like ordering on the internet, our brilliant volunteers will get what you need. We have special arrangements with the local shops and the pharmacies. We have our own Rapid Response team if you need a prescription urgently. Please don’t be afraid to ask! As we have over 160 volunteers they have plenty of time to help you.
THE GIVE BACK SCHEME
To say thank you to all of the people who have shown kindness and support during lockdown and still doing so, we have launched the Give Back Scheme.
This is our way of thanking keyworkers, volunteers and other people in the community who have shown acts of kindness over these months, by allowing you to donate and nominate for a special someone to receive a voucher to spend at a local business. This way, we're also showing our support and gratitude for local businesses! Take a look at our page for more information.
Please let us know if there is anything else you would like us to include on our website.
