OPENING OF TOILETS AT MILTON PARK

Following the latest Government guidance and advice from Bowls England the committee has decided that from Monday, 13 July toilets may be used. Changing rooms still have to remain closed except for allowing access to the toilets.

In order for members to use the toilets the following applies:

  • Access to the gent’s toilets will be via external fire door
  • Access to the ladies toilets will be via main pavilion door
  • Access to the disabled toilet will be via main pavilion door
  • During play the external fire door and pavilion door will be left open with the gent’s changing room door, ladies changing room door and door leading to corridor being wedged open (all of these doors must be closed at the end of play)
  • Only one person may be in the toilet area at a time – there will be a red / green card system to show whether toilet is in use, cards will be placed by the external fire door and pavilion door.
  • On entering please ensure the red card is showing and when leaving flip over to the green card
  • In the gents toilet the middle urinal will be blocked off (ready for future easing of lockdown)
  • Currently there will only be one ladies toilet in use.
  • Cleaning wipes, sanitiser spray and blue paper rolls will be available inside toilet cubicles to enable flush buttons, toilet seats and door handles to be wiped after use. Please place, after use, blue paper / wipes in the lidded waste bin in the cubicle and not down the toilet
  • As usual there will be hot water and hand soap but hand gel will also be available
  • Paper hand towels must be used for drying hands, the use of electric hand dryers causes water droplets in the air
  • Please avoid touching any surfaces en route to the toilets

The current system of play appears to be going well but please be reminded of the following

  • Social distancing – 2m is recommended
  • Try to avoid using shared equipment
  • Singles and pairs are still only permissible at Milton Park
  • Rinks must still be booked – No booking, No play
  • No more than 30 people are allowed on site at one time therefore that means a maximum of 6 spectators if all 6 rinks are being used for pairs
  • Main telephone will now be in use
