Many of our social activities raise money through raffles etc. and at the end of the year we donate to a variety of charities mainly in our local area.

Sometimes though we like to get out of out comfort zones and do something exciting to raise money. On a sunny day in August 2019 Glenda our National Lady President and Pam our circle secretary paid a visit to the longest zip in the UK in North Wales. This consisted of a short practice run to build up the excitement and then they were taken by a quarry lorry to 2000feet for the main run which was 1.3 miles long.  After being trussed up and hung it was chocks away for an exciting, breathtaking flight at 100 miles an hour!

A total of £1,500 was raised for Action for Children which is the Ladies national charity.
