Burmer Stars Mixed Triples: Marcia Mills, Gillian Gunn & Brian Poole lost in Round 3 on the 11th of July at MBBC to a North Tawton triple.

Mens Top Club: MBBC men won their first-round match against Heavitree played on the 12th July at MBBC. Heavitree brought several spectators with them which was great to see. Andy Poole and Brian Poole won their Singles and Two-wood matches respectively and Phil Thomas & Richard Tapp won the pairs; The Triples and Fours were both closely contested, however both lost narrowly. Triples: Henry Cruwys, John Battishill & David Eastell; Fours: Rob Warren, Robin Bateman, Den Buckingham & Edwin Hutchings. Overall result MBBC 3, Heavitree 2.

Upcoming matches

Mens Over 60s Singles: Brian Poole is up against J Keesing of Chagford in his next round on the morning of the 18th July at Chagford.

County Mixed Pairs: Gillian Gunn & Brian Poole are playing Helen & Richard Ellis of Crediton in the next round on the evening of the 18th July.

Mens Top Club: MBBC are drawn against Crediton in Round 2. This will be played on the evening of Monday 19th July at Crediton. Team not yet announced.

Ladies 2 wood triples: The first-round matches are to be played on the 26th July at MBBC.

Ladies benevolent triples: Steph Warren, Marcia Mills & Sheila Kirby are playing either a team from Topsham or St Thomas in the Section 4 competition being played on the 2nd and 5th of August at MBBC.
