The Mumford family name is not only known well throughout the bowling fraternity it is also highly regarded in country circles for the breeding and showing of Highland Cattle.

Thursday August 3rd saw the hugely popular 2023 Burwarton Show. The roads around Burwarton were jammed early doors with hordes of people determined to get a good spot around the show ring. Our Competition Secretary Bob Mumford and his son,one of our star players Guy Mumford, were at the show with a few of their herd of Highland Cattle.

Our photographs show Bob and Guy with a couple of their young cows showing for the first time and Guy's won first place in its class. A brilliant start to its showing record. Well done to Bob and Guy and we look forward to seeing you back on the bowling green soon.
