Newport Pagnell Swimming Club

Head Coach – Lisa Salmon

Swimming History: I swam competitively with City of Milton Keynes Swim Club until I was 16 when I began teaching learn to swim, I then moved from this into coaching. I have been coaching for CMKSC for 13 years with an 8 year break when I set up my own learn to swim programme. I am currently the Assistant Head Coach at CMKSC and actively coach all Development, Age and Youth squads. I have recently set up an Academy squad at CMKSC which I have grown steadily over the last year. I also coach various learn to swim programmes in within Milton Keynes. It was a pleasure to have been asked by MK council to take a group of MK swimmers to Bucks Youth Games where we have been runners up for the last 2 years.

Coaching Achievements: I have been coach to the Age Group Champion at Counties, Regionals and Nationals Runner up. I also coach a number of swimmers to obtain regional and national qualifying times on a yearly basis.

Coaching Qualification: I am a Level 3 qualified club coach.

Hobbies/Interests: I have 2 teenage Girls who are competitive Dancers so don’t have much time for any other hobbies other than being a mum.

Favourite swimmer: My favourite swimmers are Michael Phelps I like his technique and determination. I also like Rebecca Adlington I think she is a tough cookie!

What makes me smile? I get great pleasure from swimmers who make the changes to improve their stroke and swimmers who work hard and show determination to succeed.
