About Us

Please note that the meeting on Tuesday 17th July at 7.30pm has been moved from Low Marnham to Normanton on Trent Village Hall - Agenda attached below

We currently have a vacant seat on the Parish Council and would welcome applications from members of the community.

If you are interested, please contact the Clerk on rjeffries@live.co.uk

Normanton on Trent with Marnham Parish Council covers the villages of Normanton on Trent, Low Marnham and High Marnham.

Normanton on Trent is situated about a mile or so east of the A1, and about 12 miles south of Retford, 12 miles north of Newark, and 12 miles west of Lincoln – so we are easy to find.  Click here for our location on Google Maps.

The village has around 100 households, and boasts a primary school (St Matthews) and two award-winning pubs – The Crown and the Square and Compass (full site coming soon).

High and Low Marnham have around 50 households and there is a pub in High Marnham called The Brownlow Arms which sits in an idyllic spot by the River Trent.

The villages are located in the Bassetlaw District Council region of Nottinghamshire.  There are two doctors’ surgeries serving the community – one at Sutton on Trent and one in Tuxford, both around 3 miles away.  Compared to many areas, we are very fortunate in having a regular bus service to Newark and to Retford, operated by Marshalls Coaches – for the timetable for the 37 and 39 bus services, click here.
