March 2019 - AGM

There were 54 members present for our group meeting and AGM on 28 March 2019.

Business concentrated on the formalities of the Annual General Meeting.  Elections proceeded smoothly as the membership was happy to endorse those standing again. Four additional members had put themselves forward to join the committee and were duly elected.

Your committee members are:

Publicity Officer – Ken Woolgar

Keith Bunker, Richard Holt, David Jannetta, Mike Todd

The committee now has a total of nine members which will both ensure that a wide range of experience is available and, just as importantly, that the workload can be shared sensibly when necessary.  The hospital appointed Clinical Liaison Officer committee appointment is under review. Please note that this does not affect Sara Fawcitt’s welcome attendance at group meetings.

The 2019 speaker programme was announced – the details are available under this Monthly Meetings tab. Please check back regularly as details sometimes change due to speaker availability.

For our meeting on the 27th June, Sara Fawcitt, our new Clinical Nurse Specialist, will cover topics of concern to members. To give Sara some idea of what you would like more information about, please write down your questions and put them in the box on the membership table at our April and May Meetings.

The raffle, and donations at the AGM raised £90.95. Our thanks go to those who generously donate prizes and bought tickets. As the Treasurer’s Annual Report made plain, the income from the raffle makes a significant contribution to the health of the group finances.
