North Mymms Bowls Club Home

North Mymms Bowls Club is a small and friendly Club with Members from Welham Green, Hatfield, Brookman’s Park, Potters Bar and surrounding areas.  2023 proved to be a good year and attracted several new members who greatly enjoyed the bowling experience.  After some coaching and a bit of practice they were able to get out on the green, enjoy a friendly game of bowls and make new friends.  Bowling is a great opportunity to play an enjoyable game, get fresh air and have a great social life.

Bowls is a sport for all, regardless of age, sex or physical ability.  It is not a difficult game to learn and, with practice, you will soon be able to join in friendly “roll-ups” or matches against other Clubs.  After an afternoon or evening game, why not join other Members and relax with a drink outside the clubhouse?

After a while the more competitive bowlers might like to enter Club competitions or those of the St Albans & District Bowling Associations or Herts County.  Last year was an especially good year for our lady bowlers who had several successes in the St Albans & District competitions.

We encourage anyone to contact us and come along to try the game for free.  All you need is some flat soled shoes.   We will supply equipment for you to give the game a try, and we have qualified coaches to show you how.   Then as special offer to encourage new bowlers to join we offer the first year’s subscription for only £10!

Our green is open from the end of April and we have an Open Day on Sunday 12th May from 10 am especially for anyone interested to just turn up to give the game a try. If you cannot make the Open Day we will welcome you at any time.  Just get in touch with our Membership Secretary, Val Atkinson on 01707 645320 or email her on vgatkinson@btinternet.com  and a warm welcome is assured.
