Performance Greenkeeping
North Somercotes Bowls Club
We intend to go over to a more environmental approach to managing the Green next year. Performace Greenkeeping involves using natural fertilisers called a compost tea which is brewed on site using natural ingredients. There will be far less use of artificial products with the aim of developing the condition of the soil and the eco system.
In view of this we have applied for a grant of £1300 from the East Coast Community Fund who have generously supported us before. This will buy all the equipment and materials to get us started for next season. In the long run we believe we shall .spend less money than using conventional methods.
