NIBG Membership

The group membership is composed of Healthcare Professionals with an interest in reproductive healthcare. The group arose from an affiliation to the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care, now the FSRH, but membership of that organisation is not a condition of membership of the Interbranch. Meetings are usually held on Saturdays, twice a year in Spring and Autumn in the Northern region of the UK.

Membership is £20 per year, preferably paid by standing order, and allows a member to receive personal invitations to the meetings and a set of lecture notes from each meeting regardless of whether they attend or not.

All who attend will receive a certificate of attendance for the purpose of their own portfolio.

Meetings usually last from 9.30am – 12:30pm and account for 3 hours educational activity suitable for CPD. The programme secretary arranges meetings up to one year in advance and always welcomes ideas for inclusion.

Meeting invitations are distributed to members and via sexual health networks.

The group membership is currently about 100 and new members tend to be recruited by existing members. Please publicise the group and encourage your colleagues to join.

The group is administered by a committee. Committee members are elected for three years. A training fund exists to financially assist members who meet agreed criteria to obtain further training in the field of sexual healthcare. Copies of the criteria are available from the treasurer.

A copy of the constitution is available from the membership secretary.
