Buckenham Farms is a family run business providing fresh, Free Range, Lamb, Beef, Pork, Sausages and Bacon. All of their meat is home bred and home reared and fully traceable. All of their Pork is from Gloucester Old Spot pigs which are a traditional slow growing breed, bred for their flavour. Their Beef is from Aberdeen Angus cattle, which is hung in the traditional manner for 21 days, so that it reaches you at its very best, tender and tasty. They have a mixed flock of sheep including, Texel, Ryland and Corriedale this is because they do not want all of their sheep ready at one time so they breed different types that finish at different times so that they have a constant supply of fresh lamb available at the market. All of their lamb is over a year old which is Hogget, again the tastiest and best lamb you can buy. Buckenham Farms is run by John & Sharon Yale and with the help of Jamie Reeve they look forward to welcoming you to the market!
We will have a charity stall at the market this Saturday. Dolores Edmeades will be raising money for the Colney Cancer Support Centre in memory of her friend. The Colney Centre’s mission statement is “to inform and support those affected by cancer in a caring environment which they can call their own”. So please dig deep into your pockets and support this very worthwhile cause.
