CONGRATULATIONS

On Monday Jo Holland (substituting for Mary Varndell), Janie Vickers and Val Ryan were runners up to Alton Social's Lesley Johnson, Marjorie Rowledge and Brenda Plumpton in the Final of the North Hants Women's Bowling Association Triples. There was, however, better fortune for Janie in the Pairs where she joined up with Mary Varndell to defeat Old Basing and lift the Pairs title. The Club congratulates all four players on their success.

Congratulations go also to the Oakley Buzzards on finishing runners up in Division 1 of the Whitchurch League. Champions in 2017 and 2018 they were unable to achieve a hat trick of successes as Basingstoke Town deservedly came out on top. Nonetheless it was a fine achievement given that this year players were often unavailable because of the Club's unprecedented success in County Championships.
