Today at Malshanger, Oakley hosted for the North Hampshire Women's Bowling Association its Champion of Champions event. More than 20 women were eligible to play but the initial entry was apparently not good and by the middle of the week the numbers were down to 8. By last night entries were down to 5. The result of this was that only 3 games were played, a quarter and two semi-finals, one of which featured Oakley's Nicole Rogers who received a bye at quarter final stage. Nicole played Margaret Hankin of Fleet Social, with whom she had a close tussle in the County event but today Nicole was too strong for Margaret and recorded a commanding win on her way to the Final to be played at Oakley in September. Champion of Champion events must suit Nicole. She is into the Area Final of the County event and has qualified for Leamington in the National competition. The Club wishes her continuing success
