This afternoon saw the last event of the season as members gathered at Malshanger for the Vice President vs Immediate Past President's game. We were blessed with the usual 2018 warm sunny afternoon as 6 Triples and 6 Rinks did battle. Having yesterday staged the County Two Wood Triples, for which the height of the cut had been reduced, some found the pace of the green a tad quick but all enjoyed the game which resulted in a convincing win for the Vice President. Lesley will be hoping to carry this success into 2019,

Following the game members retired to the main Malshanger function room where we had an excellent meal (the chilli con carne was superb) prepared for us by Tracey and Rob, the ex caterers at Loddon Vale IBC, washed down with the occasional glass everyone had a good time before tomorrow we face the prospect of putting the green to bed and doing the work necessary to ensure it is in good shape for 2019.
