This morning President Jim Fitzgerald and 50 members set out on the Club's 36th tour, this year to Sidmouth in Devon. After stopping for lunch at RNAS Yeovilton, our coach driver Joseph ensured that by 3 pm we were disembarking at the Bedford, our hotel for the next four nights. Situated right on the front and with sea views from the lounges and some bedrooms, the real ale drinkers in the party were delighted to find both Tribute and Otter on tap and a few pints were shifted as we waited for the second highlight of the Day (Nicole winning the Champion of Champions being the first) - a display by the Red Arrows. By the start time of 6.30pm the Esplanade and beaches were packed with people, all of whom were treated to a magnificent flying display laid on no doubt because of the arrival of Oakley BC!! At 7.30 pm we all adjourned for an excellent dinner and if tonight's food is a foretaste of what is to come over the weekend then we are in for a great tour.
