Oerley Hall is home to Sara Waterworth and her family. It is a Georgian, Grade II listed house on the Shropshire/Welsh border.
The Oerley Hall Project was born when Sara, who had worked in the antiques world met Louise Cowley. Louise had worked for many years organising contemporary art exhibitions in London and together they had the idea of organising an annual exhibition of art, furniture and ceramics that would be held in Sara's home at Oerley Hall.
The first exhibition called Oerley Hall Project: Series I was held in September 2012 where three rooms across the front of the house were used to make a wonderful exhibition space. The second exhibition Oerley Hall Project: Series II was in June 2013 and was sponsored by Savills with the proceeds again donated to the British Red Cross.
Oerley Hall Project III was held in September 2014. Hope House Hospice hosted a Charity Preview and the event was sponsored by Strutt and Parker. In this exhibition a fourth room downstairs was added to the exhibition space, making the whole ground floor of the house part of the exhibition. Images from these three exhibitions and the press coverage that followed can be seen on this website.
Oerley Hall Project IV is to be held in May 2017 the Charity Preview Evening will be held on Thursday 4th May 2017.
