Overton Parish Council purchased the land for the new cemetery in Kingsclere Road in 1984.  The arrangement of burials is managed by St Mary’s Church, who also arrange for the grass at the cemetery to be cut.  The parish council is responsible for other items such as providing litter bins, tree maintenance and fence and gate repairs.
