Regulations 2012 (Regulation 16)
Overton Parish Council as the qualifying body has prepared a neighbourhood development plan, entitled Overton Neighbourhood Development Plan August 2015, for their parish with the help of the local community. The neighbourhood plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is satisfied that the submitted Overton Neighbourhood Plan complies with the relevant legal requirements and can therefore proceed to formal consultation and independent examination.
In accordance with the Regulations, the Borough Council is required to publicise the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents and invite comments.
Copies of the Overton Neighbourhood Plan, Sustainability Appraisal, Consultation Statement and Basic Conditions Statement are available to view on the borough council’s website: http://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplans. Additionally, there are a number of supporting documents that are available to view on the Parish Council’s website: http://www.overtonparishcouncil.gov.uk/
The period for submission of representations will run from Friday 18 September until Friday 30 October 2015. Representations should arrive no later than 4.00pm on 30 October 2015. All representations received will be available to view publicly.

Please note that all representations will be forwarded for consideration to the examiner and will include a request to be notified of the local planning authority’s decision under Regulation 19 in relation to the neighbourhood development plan.
