A capacity crowd at the Overton Recreation Centre watched the inaugural Ben Wilson Memorial Match to raise money for St. John Ambulance. The match began with a minute's applause before kick off to remember the 18 year old who passed away in September.

The match saw a team consisting of Ben's former football team-mates taking on a team from Popley. In a very high scoring match, Popley won the match, with the trophy being presented to them by BBC Breakfast's Mike Bushell, who was the special guest for the day's events.

A great afternoon was had, with a BBQ and bar open throughout the day. A massive raffle and a charity head-shaving helped to add to the money raised for charity.

Overall, the day raised over £4,000 for St. John Ambulance. Due to the popularity of this event, it will now become an annual event.
