Welwyn Hatfield League Division 1

The Greens team had a very good month gaining 21 points from 5 games played, with 4 points each from Datchworth Green and Welwyn Woods, 6 points at Hertford and 7 points from the two games against Knebworth Yellow.

Welwyn Hatfield League Division 2

Unfortunately, the Woods team did not have such a good month gaining only 4 points from the 3 games played. They did however, have a very good victory over Datchworth Yellow just missing out on the full 6 points.

Welwyn Hatfield John Brown Trophy/Jubilee Cup

Both the Greens and the Woods teams have reached the quarter finals in the John Brown Trophy and the Greens have reached the quarter finals of the Jubilee Cup.

Welwyn Hatfield Competitions

Alan Croshaw, Colin Jones, Penny Jones, Gloria Robertson, Edie Burke, Laraine Clarke and Mick Looney are still competing in all competitions entered, after earlier victories in the singles, pairs and triples.

East Herts League

The East Herts team had a poor start to June only gaining 2 points from their game with Knebworth, but they made up for this with 6 point wins over Much Hadham Hawks and Ware Cavers keeping them in contention for promotion.

The East Herts competitions were not so lucky with defeats in the Ranson Cup, singles, pairs and triples.

Ladies

The Ladies Friday League began with a 6 point victory over Shire Park and a walkover against WGC so maximum points to start our campaign.

The ladies played two friendly games with a 1 point victory over Hatfield Ladies and a draw with Hertford Castle.

Club Friendlies

Our club friendlies began with the President's team versus the Captain's team with the President being victorious this year.

We then took on Kimpton, winning on all three rinks and then ending with the Greens versus the Woods with the Greens coming out on top 47 - 20.
