Lord Mayor, tea & chat 2020

On the afternoon of 27th February 2020, 6 members of the Portsmouth Area Talking News, Blue Team, were invited to take tea with the Right Honourable, Lord Mayor, David Fuller in his chambers. Charlie, the editor of the Blue Team took the opportunity to interview David about his second year in office, the first time was back in 2016.

Charlie spent about 15 minutes interviewing the Lord Mayor, who told us of funny happenings within his realm this year. The recording will go out halfway through the next Blue team recording on 9th March, but I will add it to this page the same day, so to listen to it here, you will have to come back.

After the interview, we finished our tea and cakes and were given a quick tour of the various chambers. The ante-chamber sports an impressive stained glass window on which are several panels with the 'Pompey' symbol, 'Heavens Light Our Guide'.

A very enjoyable time was had by all.
