Healthwatch Telford & Wrekin is the independent consumer champion for local people who use Health and Social Care Services. We gather the views and experiences of patients, service users, carers, and the public about these services. They include Hospitals, GPs, Mental Health Services, Community Health Services, Pharmacists, Opticians, Residential Care and Children’s Services. We share those views with those who have the power to make change happen.

At present, all services are working extremely hard to provide support for Telford and Wrekin, while many residents are following Government advice on what steps to take to protect themselves and others.

Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin are asking people within the local area to share their views & experiences relating to health and social services during the COVID-19 pandemic Paul Shirley, General Manager said; “we appreciate all the hard work, time and effort that health and social care workers, and those in non-clinical support roles have put in to support people in one way or another during this pandemic”. “It is important that organisations know how to support people, understand what residents feel has worked well, and whether things can be improved or developed in the future”.

Share your experiences

Have you experienced any difficulties accessing health and social care services during the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, we would like to hear from you. What do you think is working well? Were you able to access the service you required? What issues have you been faced with?

Barry Parnaby, Interim Chair stated; “these are unprecedented times and COVID-19 has affected everyone in some way or another. We are really interested in people’s experiences and encourage people to share their views with us”.

You can tell us about your experiences by taking part in our short survey which is available online: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8QWD8G7

Alternatively, if you would like to receive a paper copy of the survey, please contact us by telephone: 01952 739540 or by email: telford.admin@healthwatchtelfordandwrekin.co.uk
