It's been very wet and windy recently but still preparation works for the new season has to be undertaken to meet our Opening Day deadline. Work on the green is very weather dependant and, with a couple of niggling exceptions, we just about seem to be on track and are hoping for the weather to break soon.

On the maintenance side, Dave Mote and his band of volunteers have been beavering away and the next item on his "To Do" list is levelling as best as possible the path paving slabs. These have been affected by things like the conifers in Kent Lodge which have now been almost totally removed on the green side and the previously removed bigger trees whose large roots can now be seen where the fence is being replaced by the new owners

So today we had the delivery of the sand for the re-bedding process whiich had to be delivered via the church gate. Remember how windy it was late morning today? Well, check out the pictures to see how the delivery went and a big thank you to Andy from Collier and Catchpole for dropping right where we wanted it - nice one Andy!
