On Tuesday of this week we were pleased to host a Presidents Match at Roundwood. The current President, Mike Walker of Ipswich & District Bowls Club brought a strong team with him including players from Borough of Eye, Holywell, Margaret Catchpole as well as members of Ipswich & District.

The match was played in a competitive but good natured way, as would be expected, with some excellent bowling on all rinks. Whilst Roundwood appeared to be heading towards a win in the closing stages, the final adjudication of the score sheets concluded that the match ended in an honourable draw

The match was followed by a fish and chip supper in the clubhouse and we would once again like to thank Barbara Quinton for all her help.

During his address Mike highlighted his charity for the year which is Krissy and Friends, a local charity which is about... "Enabling access to music related therapy for local families who have a child with a life-changing illness, injury or diagnosis, including mental health." and a collection was taken to go towards it work in this field. (For further information, please go to http://krissyandfriends.org.uk/ )

We'd like to thank Mike and his team for an enjoyable afternoon and wish him well in the remainder of his presidency
