All three Saffron Walden Town Bowling Club teams enjoyed a successful season in the North West Essex League. The A team, led by Captain Roland Saich, finished as Section 2 Division A champions and face Silver End, Section 1 champions, in the league play-off on September 15th at Quendon BC. B team Captain, Mike Harvey, was delighted to see his team consolidate their position in the top division after promotion from Division B last year. In his final season as C team Captain, Tony Capon led his team to a strong third place finish.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
