About the club

Saltburn Bowls Club is part of the larger Saltburn Cricket, Bowls and Tennis Club and shares facilities with the cricket club bar and clubhouse. The bowls club itself was founded in 1906 and offers a well-maintained green with 6 rinks, set in an enclosed corner of the cricket field.  Pedestrian access is from either Marske Road or via the cricket field where there is ample parking within the Saltburn Leisure centre car park.

In addition to the green which is open normally from April until September, weather permitting, there is also a gravelled pétanque (French boules) area which is in operation throughout the year. The bowls club has its own pavillion located next to the green which has toilet and changing facilities as well as a modern kitchen area.

During the outdoor bowling season our men and ladies compete in local leagues - see fixtures for more details. During the winter many of our members play in the nearby leisure centre where there are 4 indoor rinks. The indoor facility is not part of the bowls club but is owned and operated by Everyone Active and separate fees apply. We do not offer any coaching for indoor bowling.

The club is accessed either from Marske Road or Saltburn Leisure Centre car park - see picture below.

Pedestrian access is next to the Saltburn Cricket Field bus stop on Marske Road, TS12 1QG. Arriva buses X3 and X4 both stop here.

Car parking is available in the Saltburn Leisure Centre on Marske Mill Lane TS12 1HJ, then on foot through the cricket field to the bowls club.
