Public Inquiry Land to the West of Town Road

The Inquiry closed for the public last Thursday at 7:20pm. We have presented our case as forcefully as we were allowed. The legal documents should be finished by the end of this week, then the Inspector will consider his recommendation and when he has written this, he will pass it to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sajid Javid MP. The Minister will then make the final decision as to whether Gladman Developments Ltd will be allowed to develop the farmland for housing, or not.

The SAVE committee would like to say a big “THANK YOU!” to all of those who were able to attend the Inquiry and everyone who helped support us through the last 16 months. I am sure the Inspector took on board all of our concerns but the final decision rests with the Minister.

The final decision may take until next February to be published and we will let you all know the result as soon as we are informed by Medway Council.

So, thank you again and have a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas season.

The SAVE Cliffe Woods Committee.
